I'm an NRA instructor, and when I saw this product I just had to add it to my Ruger LCP. It's very easy to install. A nail or small punch and a plastic hammer will help, but you can improvise. Once the pins are out of the frame all the tools you need to install the laser are included and the instructions are very clear.Once installed your trigger finger will quickly find the button that turns the laser on, but you will have to move your finger out of the way to see the beam of light. So, if you're like me, and lay your finger along the frame above the trigger until you are ready to fire, you will be blocking the laser beam. This seems to be a problem with most lasers I've seen, but moving your finger down just a bit solves the problem. If you are left-handed the on/off button will still be on the right side of the gun, so it will take a bit of practice to use it.
I use a soft pocket holster so I didn't have to make any adjustments, but if you have a fitted holster you may have to make some modifications, however, the unit sits very close to the frame.
Just one thing: Lasers are great in some environments, and adding a laser this small to your gun is a no brainer. However, learn to shoot using the sights. If the batteries fail, and you're totally reliant on the laser, you're screwed.
Oh, yeah. Amazon has the best prices on LaserLyte products.
Edited 3/30/12: I've removed the laser from my gun. While I still stand by my original review, and I still think this is an excellent product, I'm blocking the laser with my finger.
