First, I am getting close to 40 and comfort and practicality take it over looks for me.

This helmet is light enough, sturdy enough, and has enough ways to fine tune the attachments to create a perfect fit. I feel well protected when I wear it. It also has vents to prevent fogging of goggles and keep my head cool. Best thing is that I do not need to take it of to open or close the vents (easy even with gloved hands). My ski is rapid and aggressive, and I really need this cool (no pun intended) feature. The ear pads keep my ears toasty, but I can still hear quite well through them. I do not use earphones with my helmet (skiing is enough for me and do not need the distraction + I think it is actually not that safe) and therefore cannot comment on this feature.

I find the build quality and the overall finish very good. I like the style, but that is very subjective of course.

I do not think you can really go wrong with that one.

I purchased the gun Wednesday morning and got it Friday afternoon. I could not believe how fast it came on only ground shipping. The gun it self has a very realistic feel to it and it shoots pretty accurate maybe 4/5 shots will make a hit on about 150 feet. I recommend purchasing a $30.00 stock it's worth it. The gun is durable and has great range with the 8 1/2 barrel it comes with. By the way if you have a barrel already that you want to put on the gun its not going to fit you need to buy a Tippmann model 98 barrel because it has a unique pattern to screw it in.

Super 35 Climbing Hold Set Review

Just got these and they are super abrasive, which in rock climbing, typically is a good thing. No chips or cracks that I've noticed.

Also adds a little needed color to my wall. Not bad at all. Just like a good set of holds should be.

Stansport Diamond Plate 2 Burner "Tuff" Stove Review

I bought this stove from Walmart, not Amazon, but the price was similar and for purposes of a review, I guess it doesn't really matter where I bought it. The first thing that I noticed about this stove when I picked up the box that was delivered to my front porch was how heavy it was. For me, this was a positive sign. I bought the stove primarily for car camping thinking it could also double for use in an emergency. That being said, I would rather have a heavy stove that is durable. For car camping, I want to be able to throw the stove in the back of the car and pile other gear on top of it. In case of an emergency (we live in CA), like an earthquake, I don't want to worry that the stove was crushed by some heavier item. I first bought a Texsport on Amazon. It cost about $85, so I was hopeful that it wouldn't be a piece of garbage. When it arrived it had been damaged in shipping (it was so flimsy it wouldn't take much to damage it). I returned it because it looked and felt so lightweight and cheap. Next I tried a primus profile stove (I love my primus backpacking stove) that I bought at REI. Although the primus looked nice, it had the same problem as the Texsport, super lightweight and flimsy, plus the piezo igniter worked only about once out of every 10-15 tries. I took it on one week-long trip and the grate warped from the heat coming off the burners and there was metallic material flaking off of it. It seems like all the camping stoves nowadays are so flimsy and cheap they wouldn't last more than one or two trips and you have to treat them very gingerly. The guy at REI said century is the American distributor for primus, and I've heard terrible things about all the stoves coleman puts its name on now, so that left me to try Stansport. The Tuff stove was advertised as the "toughest camping stove ever", and "the last camping stove you'll ever have to buy". I don't know if that's true, but it definitely doesn't seem flimsy, and it seems like I could drive a truck over it and it would be ok. It seems super sturdy and heavy duty (let me say again, the stove is HEAVY). According to the manufacturer, each burner puts out 15,000 BTU, which if true, should be plenty of heat to cook for a large group. I haven't done more than fire it up just to test it out at this point, but I'm pretty confident it will work great. The only concern is that it will eat up the 1lb propane bottles pretty quickly. Then again, you don't have to crank the burners up ALL the way. I give it four stars and not five for 2 reasons:
1. It seems like it should have a piezo igniter for $160. Even my 20 year old weber camping grill (which by the way doesn't seem flimsy at all) has a matchless igniter.
2. The product description on the retailer's site (and the the manufacturer's), and on the box, for that matter, makes no mention of the fact that it comes with a hose and regulator made to fit bulk propane tanks. I had to buy a $20 adapter at the local walmart to make it work with the 1 lb propane bottles most people take car camping.

All in all, considering my previous 2 attempts to buy a camping stove, I think this stansport will work out well. If it holds up like I think it will, its possible that my 5 year old son will inherit it just like I inherited my dad's old coleman white fuel stove (they don't make them like that anymore). If you're looking for a durable, heavy duty, two burner stove that won't blow away in a light wind, this stansport could be ideal for you. I think it's worth the extra $50 or so it cost above one of the "disposable" models from another brand.

Echo- Ion Freshwater 8/10 Hybrid Fly Reel Black Review

The design of this reel is awesome as it holds 150 yds of backing and a 5 wgt. line. This reel can easily hold a 6 wgt. line and plenty of backing as well. Balances out on a sub 3 oz 9 ft 5 wgt. quite nicely. Fished it 4 days last week and it preformed flawlessly. Caught lots of fish and with a fair number of 16 to 18"ers. Drag is smooth and built out of qualiity parts and the best thing is it cost the price of a really nice fly line. My philosophy has always been that a trout fly reel is something to hold the line. We survived years with just a click and pawl drag system. Now we have beautiful CNCed works of art that are incredibly light and machined perfectly but cost an arm and a leg. Hey if you can afford them go for it- they are worth it; but if you want to save some money buy a really good fly line and put it on this reel. I think you will be happy. This reel costs less than a replacement spool for most new machined CNC type large arbors. If you smash it on the rocks or drop it over the side of a drift boat you can buy another. Buy the CNC reels for your saltwater 10 weight.
