I'll start by saying that to begin with i was a little disappointed with how big it was. It seems small but it can store a lot. I've used it several times for travel and I use it to take stuff to work and it's amazing sometimes how much i can store in it. I didn't plan on it as a replacement, I wanted it to use for some hiking with the family this summer, but I've ended up using this instead of 2 other bags that I used to use, one messenger bag that I used to things to work in, and one large sports bag that I used when going to the gym. It holds a lot, but packs down small and so is extremely versatile. Although i agree with what other reviewers have said about the main pocket being difficult to get into when you have something in the compression area, this isn't a great difficulty and since I was expecting it wasn't a surprise and therefore I haven't taken any stars off for it as I don't think it's that bad. I worry that the material isn't as rugged as some of the older/other camelback bags, it's not the heavy/thick material I'm used to in outdoor bags, but it seems pretty good and the manufacture and design is great. One thing I'm constantly pleased with, and I know this is going to sound weird, but the zippers are awesome. They open really easily. They seem really sturdy and hardwearing, but they can be opened really easily, usually with just one hand and I think that demonstrates the amount of though that went into the design of this pack. I haven't used the reservoir yet, hopefully soon, so I can't comment on that, except to say that I've played with it a bit and it seems to be built with the same attention to detail that the rest of the pack was made with. Overall I'm really pleased and constantly glad that I bought this versus any of the others I was looking at.
