The Mueller Quick Shot sight has 2 built in sensors in the front that detects the surrounding lighting conditions and automatically adjusts the brightness of the dot to the these conditions, unlike all other Red Dot Scopes, which require manual adjustment. This new, innovative concept so important as lighting conditions change the user no longer needs to worry about manually adjusting the brightness of the dot, checking to see if it is adequate for the existing lighting conditions and continually making manual adjustments like all other Red Dot Sights. In rare cases there may be instances where the user could be in an area that is darker or brighter than the target area so we have also provided 10 manual brightness adjustment settings, which over-ride the auto setting, making this sight optimum for any situation. Before i get get started here I will answer the other "Genius" reviewers answers to his questions so maybe he can remove his 1 star review of a product he has never saw, owned or even used.

-it IS rail mount
-it is made of ALUMINUM

-it's listed in Arts & Photography because Amazon has PEOPLE working at it and people sometimes make mistakes

Now on to my review, I mounted it on my Mossberg 12 gauge 835 tactical turkey gun. (currently with slug barrel installed.
I purchased this sight to replace a Tru-Glo 40mm multi color dot sight that took exactly 11 shots before the lens broke due to the shock of 3.5" turkey loads. I ordered it through Outdoor Optics and received it drop shipped from Mueller 3 days later . It comes with mounting screws , lens cover, spare battery and instructions which you need to follow very carefully i did not and ended stripping out one of the mounting holes (I WAS WARNED). A trip to the hardware store and $.60 later I was armed with a coarser thread bolt that bit well and did not strip. I did use Blue Locktite on the mounting bolts to keep them tight during shooting.
Off to the range... The sight took 3 shots (slugs) at 25 yards then 6 at 50 to take the center out of the hi-viz target. Then 1 shot to eliminate 7 inch pumpkin at 75 yards and 2 at 100 (my fault on the first). Ready to hunt!!!

I am very pleased with this sight so far sturdy construction, very sharp recitals , and a nice clear lens combine to make this a very nice sight with lots of choices of different recitals and brightness settings. My only complaint is that the front mounting bolt was extremely fine thread and it was almost doomed to strip the aluminum threads. Otherwise a very nice sight .
