The EPA registered BedNet has permethrin bonded to the fabric for insect repellency. The Upgrade Kit includes the fly, (1) Shock corded pole, (6) X3 stakes. The kit weighs a little more than two pounds.

I tried out my mil-spec Catoma IBNS tent without the upgrade fly. The wind going through the tent and dew kept me up at night which made me wet. Then the rain ruined my night camping. So no that I tried the tent out, I needed this to head out again. It seems to be built pretty well. The box says made by US veterans, which is awesome. I had a backpack and boots to my side inside the tent, now I can put them outside the tent but under the fly to keep them dry and have room to move around. The kit came with a bunch of nice plastic steaks and a really cool alloy rod that is held with a band in the center that seemed to assemble itself when opened. Pretty hard to describe. No instructions with them but printed them off the web and it was easy to figure it out. Both the tent and fly will easily fit in one large pouch in a backpack. I heard the zipper that open and closes the entrance to the tent was crappy but it seems to be ok so far. But if it breaks there is velcro to hold the door flap closed.The vents really impressed me. There isnt any pics of it but you open the velcro and there is a stand that pops up to hold them open, really good idea. In some places you might not need this but its a must have for me. Cant wait to get out this weekend with it. This will keep the bugs and critters farther away from me, not a inch from me with just the IBNS. Really smart design and the made in US.
