I got these before I went on my first multipitch climbs with a guided group. I tried a variety of shoes and I really wasn't sure what the best approach shoe would be. I got this shoe in a size 37/7, which is my usual street shoe size. It was comfortable in the store, and it performed well on the first hike, although I did sometimes wish for more ankle support. The grippiness is really excellent and the shoe fit like a sneaker. However after that first hike I noticed that the shoe was quite big...it has just felt bigger and bigger with each use. I think that these are good moderate approach shoes but I would advise to size down more than you expect due to stretching.
