The Head Youtek Five Star is part of the new game improvement Youtek Star Series and uses new Head technologies such as d3o, QuadFace, Control Ring and MultiZone grip in a user-friendly package. 107 sq. in. headsize, 9.6 ounce strung weight, 27.3 inch length, and 28/26mm wide beam add up to the second-most powerful racquet in the Youtek line. Head d3o technology acts as a "smart" material in that it behaves differently under varying dynamic loading or impact. Integrated in the frame lay-up and positioned in the shaft area (where the racquet flexes the most), d3o seeks to help players maximize performance on all shots. High speed impacts lock d3o together within nanoseconds at the molecular level, stiffening the frame to provide maximum power. Conversely, on slower speed impacts, the d3o molecules absorb the impact providing softer touch for better feel.

Head QuadFace extends the stringbed at key points of the frame providing longer strings for a larger sweetspot and more power.

While the racquet is light, it has all the power of my old, heavy racquet. The grip is a different design than I am used to using. It is like a one piece instead of the wrap around. I am not sure how to change it but it does not look too difficult. It also has a built in dampener so it won't come flying off in a match disrupting play. It meets all of my expectations.
