The "Anchor Point" Series See Through Scout Scope Mount for Mauser K98, M2447, M48, VZ. 24, etc. rifles chambered in 8mm (7.92x57) allows you to "Scope your Mauser" while preserving its historic integrity. This innovative design provides superior mount stability and installs in minutes. It is designed to fit the majority of 8mm Mauser variants with the K98 type recoil lug and rear sight block. Mount and MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail are rigid steel construction with black oxide finish and bolt securely using recoil lug and rear sight pivot attachment points. Any scope on any mount that receives an impact (dropped, hit, etc.) should not be trusted to be accurate. This product provides ability to use original open sights if mount/scope have been compromised. Mount will accommodate a front to back (horizontal) distance of 5.86" (148.9mm) to 6.26" (159.1mm) from the center of the recoil lug to the center of the rear sight block pivot. It allows for an up and down (vertical) distance of 1.32" (33.6 mm) to 1.67" (42.3 mm) from the same. The rear sight riser block is designed to fit over rear sight blocks that measure a maximum of .74" (18.9 mm) wide. We have made every reasonable effort to ensure that this product will fit the majority of Mauser rifle variants. It will NOT fit Argentine, Swedish or Turkish Mausers.
