I wear contact lenses so for outdoor activities sunglasses, for me, are a must to keep my eyes from being fatigued and my contacts from drying out. After accidentally breaking my beloved pair of Serengeti sunglasses that I had owned for almost 10 years I chose the Lizzanos as a replacement. I happily wore Ray-Bans for years before a friend who worked for a sunglass store talked me into a pair of Serengetis about 20 years ago and I have never regretted the move. I own several different vehicles and usually keep a pair of sunglasses in each one, my primary vehicle usually houses my "everyday" pair that I use when working/walking outside. These will become my new "everyday" pair of sunglasses. Fit and finish is everything that I have come to expect from Serengeti. In their "natural" state they are just dark enough so that if you are wearing them in a shaded area such as a restaurant patio you can still read menus and not have to squint when looking out into the sun. Once you walk out into the sun the photochromic lenses darken quickly and just enough to keep you from having to squint to see clearly. In fact the do it so quickly and efficiently that you actually never notice the change. You just know that your eyes don't hurt and you never have to squint.

I have owned other brands of sunglasses like Ray-Ban and Oakley and while they are excellent sunglasses, and admittedly less expensive than the Serengetis, they are just not in the same league when it comes to lens technology. Buy these and you will not be disappointed. If you have owned Serengetis in the past the new lens technology in these are the best yet. If you have never owned a pair of Serengeti sunglasses you are in for a treat and you will never want to own another brand!
