After playing with the highly demanding, Wilson K Factor 6.1 90 Pro (Federer's racquet), for several years I decided to opt for a lighter frame with another 10 square inches of head size. My reasoning being that I was getting a lot of miss hits with the unforgiving 6.1, also its a very heavy racquet requiring a lot of wrist strain to keep the ball in play, so I thought a lighter frame and a more forgiving head would lighten my load, reduce my unforced errors and still maintain power and control.

The result, excellent. The Wilson BLX Surge is very comfortable, easy to play and yet still accurate. The power is enormous on the serve. Well balanced and attractive to look at, its hard to see why this racquet is now selling at about 36% of its original MRRP. I'm glad I bought 2 of them so that I have a matched pair for years to come.

I would imagine that 90% of club players would find this an extremely suitable racquet as it is and for anyone who considers it a little head light then a quick fix customised lead tape will soon fix that.
