Sevylor Super Caravelle 4-Person Inflatable Boat Review

I love this boat. I've been using it for a while now and it's a lot of fun. We use it for going down rivers or for spending a day out on the lake. It only takes a couple minutes to inflate (I use a Coleman 12-Volt DC pump bought from Amazon, plugged into my car's cigarette lighter). Seriously, I can remove it from my car and inflate it, all in about 2 minutes. It's durable and very sturdy, and just a lot of fun to use. There's absolutely no need for adding a "wood floor" as someone mentioned in another review (unless you're planning on standing up in it... maybe for fishing while standing? I have no idea.). I've never had any problem with it losing air in any of the chambers, but it's nice to know that there are multiple air chambers in case you did manage to puncture it.

Calling it a 4 person raft is an exaggeration. Technically it can handle that much weight, but really there's only enough room for 3 adults at most to comfortably use it (or really, 2 adults if you're carrying gear). Also the "oar locks" are too small for my paddles, but that's fine, I just don't use the oar locks. Don't forget to buy paddles or oars by the way, they aren't included. And neither is a pump. About motors, I've heard other people have said it works great with the Sevylor 12v electric trolling motor, with no additional mounting hardware needed (but for any other type of motor you have to buy their mounting kit separately).

It's a lot of fun to use. Highly recommended.

Pearl Izumi Elite LTD Bib Short (Small, Black/White) Review

PI is usually great. I have dozens of their products and have had no reason to shop elsewhere until i recieved this bib short. It is labeled as Elite but the chamois is not the elite which is an orange color and is very comfortable. This is grey and is not nearly as comfy. Overall the fit is like the other PI shorts i own but i am used to the ELITE level chamois.
I am curious if amazon gets the seconds from manufacturers and is able to sell at a discount and still make a margin on selling them as first rate items???

I'm Asian and my cheek bones and nasal ridge make it difficult to find any kind of glasses that will fit properly on my face. These fit very well and now I know what I was missing when I didn't have sunglasses!

I already knew that Serengeti had good products because my husband has had a pair of "drivers" for almost 18 years! Technology has improved in those 18 years and these are even better than his old ones. So I got him a new pair also. He loves them as much as I love mine.

Everything appears sharper and better defined. They even help during times when I wouldn't expect them to help: during thick fog and at dusk. I would have thought that they would hurt during those times, but I was wrong. Because they help to define, they also help to penetrate the fog and increase my sight distance in low-light conditions.

Hodgman Men's Pipestone Breathable Booted Chest Wader With Work Table, 7 Review

The Hodgman Pipestone waders arrived quickly and appeared like a nice light pair of breathable waders. The good news is that the waders do not leak and are very light weight but appear durable.

Unfortunately, the boot foot waders are incredibly uncomfortable. The waders were packed in a box that caused the boots to be compressed. A note in the package suggested bending and flexing the boots to make them more flexible. When I tried fishing with them they caused chafing around my calves and ankles. That night I spent about 30 minutes flexing the boots to have them chafe again the next day. I then stuffed newspapers into the boots which reduced the chafing slightly. However, the chafing is severe enough that my ankles and calves were bleeding. The other issue is that the boots collapse under the pressure of water and at two feet deep, the boots hurt my feet. I stuffed more newspapers in to the boots and it again improved the boots slightly but still lots of pain. My brother tried the waders and gave up after 10 minutes due to pain. The other problem with the boots is the interior coating sticks to the skin.

The drop down table is kind of nice and serves as a nice storage pouch. There is also a strap on one leg with some velcro which I assume helps lock a belt in place. I found this strap snagged my fly line on occasion. I have flyfished for 50 years and have used many different brands of waders on lots of different rivers. This is the first pair of waders that I cannot use. I have reverted back to using some of my old leaking waders until I purchase some new ones.

I contacted Hodgman several times about the problem and they were slow to respond. They have now said that I can return them and they will replace them. I hope this is not a common problem with the waders. Conditions for returning are:
1. Sales receipt,
2. Cut the boots off,
3. Take pictures of the damaged boots,
4. Send the above with an explanation of the problem.

I can't wait to cut off the boots and then be told there is no manufacturing defect.

In conclusion, I would avoid these waders.
