since the electrical outlet on our dock is farther away than our normal 50 ft. cord can reach, this product will give us just enough to fit perfectly. marinco makes quality products and this new EEL version is top notch. i use a Marinco Sealing Collar and 100R Threaded Ring as well as a MARINCO 500R THREADED RING FOR 50-AMP SYSTEMS to make a weather tight seal between each of the new EEl shorepower cords. the 500 r says 50 amp, but the EEl is a little larger, so the 500r fits perfectly. it fits on the male end and the 100r set screws onto the female end. when both screwed together, it is weather tight and neat looking. no sleeve or covering necessary. 50 ft. + 25 ft. is fine for no electrical amp loss because of the longer run to the boat. marinco advises no longer when connecting two together. great product and service.
