Product Description

The Griptilian Tanto folder offers the same desirable features of the original Griptilian knife, but with an enhanced tip design to make the blade stronger. It features a ComboEdge blade of 154CM stainless steel, AXIS lock mechanism, ambidextrous thumb-stud openers, molded Olive Drab handle with steel liners and a reversible pocket clip. The BK1 coating provides excellent corrosion protection, which exceeds the ASTM-117 spec for saltwater while possessing higher scratch resistance.

Benchmade Pardue Design Axis ComboEdge Griptilian Tanto Knife with BK1 Coating (Olive Drab Handle) Review

This is my second Benchmade blade. I have been EDC carrying around the mini tanto griptilian version of this same knife for over 3 years, and that has by far been my best most awesomest knife ever. I decided to get this knife because I wanted a larger EDC blade. This did deliver a larger blade with a very positive grip, which was the form and function I was looking for. The finish is excellent. The blade came very sharp, as expected from BM.

My complaint and disappointment with this purchase is that the blade has vertical play on the hinge, when open and locked. This is unacceptable, which is why I went with Benchmade to begin with. The amount of play is small, but enough for me to question it and possibly look to a different manufacturer in the future. I tried to adjust the pivot screw, but it seems that is not the cause as the play remains. I am disappointed about this and would hesitate purchasing again, without holding and testing the blade in person.

All of that said, I have had this as my EDC knife for 3 months now. The wiggle is not enough for me to pay shipping to send it back to BM for warranty work, but I am frustrated with the lack of quality control on this particular knife.

POC Frontal Helmet (Blue/Yellow, Small/53-54) Review

Received my POC green/light green helmet as described and promised. Sizing is true to size. I am a small and the small size helmet fits perfectly. Helmet came with a POC box, helmet storage bag and some POC stickers. I love this helmet because of the fun color ways and it makes me very visible while snowboarding. Extremely comfortable helmet and I love the low profile of the helmet so you don't look like a bucket head. I wore the helmet three days in a roll, 2 days at Mammoth and 3rd consecutive day at June Mountain. Helmet was extremely comfortable. Also, the venting system works very well. The venting system can also be closed on those cold days. Chin strap has a comfortable fleece cover to prevent chaps on your chin. Very durable helmet. Would highly recommend this. I also use this helmet to ride my bicycle on cold winter days to keep my head and ears warm. The padding inside the helmet is also very comfortable and snug. Totally a multi purpose helmet. I've owned the Bert and Reds helmet and by far, POC is the absolute best helmet I have own and use. I also have the bicycle POC helmet as well for summer riding with more open vents.

Huffy BMX Revolt Bike, Matte Black, 20-Inch Review

Purchased this bike as a replacement for Mongoose Scan R10. For all intents and purposes its a clone of the mongoose. The Mongoose didn't work for us simply because the brakes were horrible and my boy couldn't stop it and neither could I. The Revolt is a sharp looking bike and has all the features of the mongoose but the parts are noticeably of cheaper quality. It was $30 less and I suspect I'll be spending that on replacement parts when the plastic hand brakes brake. All in all for the $90 we spent I think it'll get him a good 3-4 years and I'll be happy with it.
